O-ring according to ISO 3601, material MVQ 70 red, according to cross section, cross section from 1,9mm to 2,46mm
Code: KAT_ISO3601MVQCROSS2_011700Product detailed description
The O-ring is a closed ring with a circular cross-section, which is mainly made of an elastic rubber material, the so-called elastomer. The size of the O-ring is defined by its inner diameter (?d1) and cross-section (?d2). The sealing effect of an O-ring placed in a suitable groove is achieved during assembly by changing the shape of the circular cross-section of the ring (d2) elastically to an elliptical profile by compression. The compressed ring seals the joint between the contact elements or surfaces and the bottom of the groove.
Silicone rubber (MVQ, VMQ, SI)
O-rings made of MVQ material are mainly used in applications where a high temperature range is required (-55° C to +200°C), however, they cannot be used to seal hot water or steam. Resistance to oils is comparable to NBR material, but mechanical properties are worse than NBR material.
