O-ring according to ISO 3601, material EPDM 70, according to the inner diameter, from 150mm to 249,8mm
Code: KAT_ISO3601EPDMID7_000100Product detailed description
The O-ring is a closed ring with a circular cross-section, which is mainly made of an elastic rubber material, the so-called elastomer. The size of the O-ring is defined by its inner diameter (?d1) and cross-section (?d2). The sealing effect of an O-ring placed in a suitable groove is achieved during assembly by changing the shape of the circular cross-section of the ring (d2) elastically to an elliptical profile by compression. The compressed ring seals the joint between the contact elements or surfaces and the bottom of the groove.
Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM)
O-rings made of EPDM material are mainly used for sealing hot water and steam, or in places where will take advantage of their excellent resistance to ozone and standing. Compared to O-rings made of NBR material, they can also be used at lower temperatures (-40°C to + 130°C, for special designs -50°C to +140°C). They are not resistant to hydrocarbons. With peroxide treatment, they are resistant to brake fluids.
