O-ring 83 x 3,5 EPDM 70, DIN 3770

The O-ring is the most widespread method of sealing, because it does not require space and its installation is very simple. It is defined as a closed ring with a circular cross-section, which is produced mainly from an elastic rubber material, the so-called elastomer. The size of the O-ring is defined by its inner diameter (Ød1) and cross-section (Ød2).

Popis produktu

The O-ring is the most widespread method of sealing because it does not require space and its installation is easy very simple. With the correct design of the grooves and suitably selected material fulfills long-term its function both statically and dynamically use within the range of temperatures permitted for the respective rubber material.

Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM)
O-rings made of EPDM material are great for sealing hot water and vapor, or for places where you can make use of their excellent resistance to ozone and aging. In comparison with NBR o-rings, these can be used in lower temperature ranges (-40°C to + 130°C, special treatments from -50°C up to +140°C). They are not resistant against hydrocarbons. With peroxide treatment they are resistant to brake fluids.
