These are special shaft seals for very demanding conditions. With their complex construction, they ensure optimal protection against water, dust, mud and other coarse dirt. They are characterized by high resistance and a long service life. This generation was developed based on the ever-increasing requirements for increased durability, functional reliability, environmental protection and simple assembly. It is used to seal the axles and wheel hubs of highly stressed vehicles and industrial gearboxes.
The cassette seal consists of two parts that are inextricably connected, where most often one works on the principle of a guffer and the other serves as a counterpart attached to the shaft. The spaces between the individual sealing edges are filled with lifelong grease.
